This small concrete boat ramp south of Cabbage Tree Island, allows the local 'fishermen' to access the tidal section of the 'South Channel' of the Manning River - when the bar is not open.

Occasionally the 'bar' near here opens (last seen in 2005), and this ramp would then be difficult to use, as the tides would run quite fast, rather than just being 'a back-water' of the Manning River.
As the photos show, the ramp is short, and steeper than some, but there has been horizontal grooves troweled into it for more traction. Also, the mangroves have grown quite close to it, so care is required when reversing, that you don't get into the mud.
Make local enquiries and don't necessarily believe the "OpenStreetMap", as at 2017 there is NO opening bar to the ocean opposite Charley's Island and Cabbage tree Island, and IF you were wanting to go off-shore, you would have to navigate a lot of shallow waters to get to Harrington.
Whereas if you want to go mud-crabbing, then this is the access point for you.
While there is a basic picnic area here, PLEASE remember to bring your insect REPELLENT!
