The house is named after Gertrud Busch (1901-1994). She was member of the family which owns the building since 1850.

In 1945 the building was used as information headquarter by the U.S Army after the battle at the Remagen bridge.

The building is listed in the "Liste der Kulturdenkmäler in Erpel".
