The Common Council, at an adjourned meeting Monday night, accepted a deed to 27 acres of land In the upper section of the Brandywine swamp area from Mr. and Mrs. Z. Bennett Phelps. This action constituted formal acceptance of the land, although it previously had been accepted by resolution. The deed given by Mr. and Mrs. Phelps stipulates that the land is to be used for playground, park or school site purposes, with tho exception of a strip 200 feet wide on the easterly side, which may be used for Industrial purposes if desired. ......""
