At this picturesque and quiet rest area at the spot where the US 67 and US 90 come together (or diverge, depending on your direction of travel) the Union Pacific main rail line through the US borderlands runs by right across the highway from this rest area.
If you spend any time here at all you'll see numerous trains going and coming.
Between trains, read the historic markers, learn about geology, do some rock hounding, have a snack, run the dogs or kids around, enjoy the beautiful scenery, check out cacti (not too close), and before you know it -- TRAIN!!!!
