Prírodní památka Hrebenatkový útes tvorí výchoz miocenního litavského vápence o výšce 2 - 2,5 m vystupující na povrch v lese Borky nad nedalekým hrištem u obce Kroužek. Jedná se o území s rozlohou 0,02 ha, které bylo v roce 1990 vyhlášené prírodní památkou. Lokalita je zajímavá predevším paleontologicky a skýtá mnoho dokladu o morské faune.

Duvodem ochrany je tedy dochování dokladu posledního výskytu more v oblasti Vyškovské brány.

Natural Monument Hrebenatkový reef outcrop consists of Miocene limestone litavského height of 2 - 2.5 meters rising to the surface in the woods Borky over nearby playground in the village ring. This is an area of 0.02 hectares, which in 1990 declared a natural monument. The location is particularly interesting paleontological and offers much evidence of marine life.

The reason protection is thus preservation of the document last occurrence of the sea in Vyškov gate.
