According to Find-A-Grave, there are 7 more Coffys here, all of whom died in a measles epidemic: (

"Menard History and community members state that there are 9 or 10 Coffey/Coffy family members inside the Coffey "rock fence". Though there are no markers beyond broken pieces of stones and C. O. Coffey's, it's said that "Seven members of the family, including the parents, died in a measles epidemic."
A family researcher informed me that C.O. Coffey's daughter, Eliza (Coffey) Wilkerson, lost 4 children to the measle epidemic. Their names were Thomas, Albert, Lizzie and Bill. She believes there is a possibility that these children were buried in Pioneer with their grandfather. Maybe another Coffey researcher will be able to verify this?"
