Now known (in 2017) as the Preston Street Garage or Gabriel's Auto, this building first appeared in the Ottawa city directory material in the 1959 edition. Construction of the building can be seen in aerial photography from 1958. Before that time, residential buildings were on that section of Preston.
By 1961, the service station in Little Italy was being run by Rino Mazzocato. In the 1964 city directory, the BP station was run by Saro Pannuccio. The gas pumps were removed before the end of the 1990s.
