Kostel byl postaven v rozmezí let 1718 až 1734. Puvodní projekt vypracoval italský architekt a katolický knez Domenico Martinelli.

The first written mention of Rousínovci (formerly Old Rousínov) dates from 1331, when King John donated part of the proceeds parish church in Rousínovci, deanery Brno Chapter. In 1398 there already recalls the parsonage of the parish church of St. Vaclav. Then it was the Rousínovci assigned to a parish and Cechyne and Velešovice. After Rousínovec bought Svatopetrská chapter in Brno, from whom probably got the seal of 1630, crossed sword and key blade. Since the neighboring town Rousínov was paid and did not suffer during the 30-year war as Rousínovec. At the end of the war in 1647 it was found that stayed alive only 4 of 20 settled. Before this war was Rousínovci 25 houses. June 9, 1715 a village with a church and rectory burned down, the fire was the focus of the parish barn. The fire was so intense that it melted the bells from the church tower. More fires hit the former municipality in 1807 (when burned and cupolas church. Wenceslas - since then has only a tent roof) and 1857.
