The park office at McCarthy Beach State Park sells firewood, and includes a nature store/gift shop. Boats, canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards can be rented at the office. They offer a battery charging service, for a fee.
The park office contains a small interpretive exhibit about area history and native plants.
This is the place to check in for a campground or to get your Minnesota State Parks passport booklet stamped.
Park maps are free. A public phone is outside the park office--local calls free, takes credit card for others.
