The sign says, "City Hall, dating from 1803, is one of our nation's oldest city halls and houses the offices of the Mayor and City Council, the executive and legislative branches of government. The rehabilitation of the interior of the landmark building was completed in 2013; this work included the replacement of mechanical systems and electrical upgrades. The final phase of work will be completed in 2015 - this phase includes the complete replacement of the metal roofing system on the entire building, and repairs to the facade."
