Kostel svatého Filipa a Jakuba v Praze na Smíchove stával do roku 1891 na dnešním Arbesove námestí. / St. Philip and James in Smíchov stood from 1891 to today Arbes Square. Originally a Romanesque church underwent a Gothic and Baroque reconstuction.

"Kostel svatého Filipa a Jakuba v Praze na Smíchove stával do roku 1891 na dnešním Arbesove námestí. Puvodne románský kostel prošel gotickou a barokní prestavbou. Po prenesení farnosti k nove postavenému kostelu sv. Václava v roce 1885 jeho význam upadal a v roce 1891 byl jako postradatelný zboren. Cást stavebního materiálu byla využita k výstavbe nového kostela téhož zasvecení na hrbitove Malvazinky, do nehož byly ze zrušeného kostela preneseny i nekteré sochy. Zbytky základového zdiva, skryté pod navážkou, byly v roce 2003 prohlášeny za kulturní památku."

arel Liebscher (24. února 1851 Praha – 20. dubna 1906 tamtéž), byl ceský malír – krajinár a ilustrátor. Pro jeho tvorbu je typický výber malebných scenérií, harmonie a úhlednost; krásu nalézá i ve zdánlive prostých motivech a odlehlých koutech. Velmi si nechával záležet na technické dokonalosti a peclivé propracovanosti. Bratr malíre Adolfa Liebschera.

Church of St. Philip and James in Prague's Smíchov stood from 1891 to today Arbes Square. Originally a Romanesque church underwent a Gothic and Baroque reconstruction. After transferring parish to the newly built church of St. Wenceslas in 1885, its importance declined, and in 1891 was demolished as expendable. Part of the construction material was used to build a new church on the same dedication at the Malvazinky cemetery. Remnants of foundation walls, hidden under backfill, in 2003 was declared a cultural monument.
Karel Liebscher (24 February 1851, Prague - 20 April 1906, Prague) was a Czech landscape painter and illustrator. His brother was the history painter Adolf Liebscher.
