Újezdská Gate was built in 1862 in neo-Gothic style. After 30 years of service it was demolished. On the surface there are no traces, but numerous remains are preserved mostly in the basements of houses. The picture shows outside facade of the gate.

"Újezdská brána je pražská zanikla stavba. Brána mela tri pruchody. Byla vystavená v roce 1862 v novogotickém stylu. Stávala na konci Hladové zdi, kde nahradila kapacitne nevyhovující puvodne renesancní a v 17. století barokne upravenou Kartouzskou bránu. Po 30. letech služby, kdy opevnení vcetne této brány ztratilo na významu byla zborena. Cetné zbytky puvodního opevnení a bran se dochovaly vetšinou v suterénech jednotlivých domu."

Újezdská Gate was built in 1862 in neo-Gothic style. The Gate had three passes. It replaced, due tu insufficient capacity, Baroque Kartouzska gate from the 17th century. After 30 years of service the gate was demolished. Numerous remains of the original fortifications and gates are preserved mostly in the basements of the houses.
