"This Second Empire residence, architect unknown, was built in the 1870's and originally owned by E. P. Gillmore, the proprietor of a general merchandise store and livery stable and a one-term county supervisor.

It is one of the few old houses in Point Arena that was deliberately designed in an architectural style." (visit link)
