Blasterz always like seeing the old jails next to the County courthouses on the courthouse squares.
The Mills County Jail was actually the first government building built in the county, and was built even before the site for the county seat was chosen and the courthouse built.
That first courthouse burned however the jail remains and serve this community for many more decades until it was finally rendered obsolete by changing jail standards.
The historic marker is located on the north side of the jail at at the main entrance.
