Yes, you DO have to go onto a private Mule ranch, and yes, you DO have to pass within yards of the front of the ranch house to access this cemetery. But go on ahead -- you are welcome to visit.
We came to see the historic marker, which is actually on the US 84. We stayed for a few minutes to enjoy the peace here, and on a 16-degree day, nothing was moving here but us and the curious mules nearby.
We noticed that the lady whose name is on the Mule Ranch with that of her husband has been recently buried here.
