This church has little in the way of a presence on the Internet, and a 2013 Yelp review mentions that they have a small congregation, with visiting pastors providing the service instead of their having a permanent minister.

Jay Melugin's entry in the Images of America series, "Pilot Point", provides a bit of information, noting that the church was organized in 1901 by J.P. Adcock. Services were initially held in the Masonic Lodge building that was just south of here, before this sanctuary was built in 1902. Founding members included members of the Dowdell, Cooper, Evans, Pondrum, and Burks families.

In the early 20th century, Church Street certainly deserved its name, and a 1904 post card in "Pilot Point" shows the Central Christian Church, the 1870 Masonic Lodge, the 1884 Methodist Church, and the old First Presbyterian Church. While not located on Church Street, the First Baptist Church (now Bethel Baptist Church) is visible today from Central Christian Church.
