On the right side you can see the first of arch of the Charles Bridge.
The cupola of the Monastery of the Knights of the Cross with a Red Star is hide by new building now. In centre of painting in background you can see the top of Old Town Bridge Tower.

Jan Bedrich Minarík (December 15, 1862, Prague-Vyšehad - May 26, 1937) (
visit link) , was a Czech painter and graphic artist, pupil J. Marák at the Prague Academy. He became famous as a painter of motifs disappearing part of Prague. His work falls within the years 1907-1911. His paintings captured Josefov district and some parts of the Old Town and New Town. Also captured a number of motifs vanishing areas or individual houses. He also painted on Vysehrad, Mala Strana and Prague Castle.

Pohled z Vltavy od severu na most a rádové budovy. Komplex konventu byl založen po prestehování rádu k mostu v roce 1252, soucasná podoba vznikla podle projektu Carla Luraga z roku 1661 a budovy byly v roce 1846 zvýšeny o patro. Dnešní kostel sv. Františka Serafínského byl vybudován na míste a cástecne I základech svého gotického predchudce. Jeho soucasnou barokní podobu z let 1679 -1685 navrhl Jean Baptista Mathey. Roku 1903 byl rekonstruován generalát. Karluv most byl založen císarem Karlem IV. v roce 1357 na míste svého predchudce, Juditina mostu, který pripomínají již jen pozustatky spojené s budovou konventu zachycené na obraze vlevo. Uprostred obrazu vidíme strechu Staromestské mostecké veže.
