The Indiana Dunes State Park Nature Center is located inside Indiana Dunes State Park. Staffed by team of Interpretive Naturalists, they offer many programs throughout the year.

Often overshadowed by the giant lake, and the long sandy beach, the Dunes Nature Center offers a glimpse into the dunes' formation and the plants and animals that thrive here. Live animals are on display, and a bird feeding window lets you see some of the local fauna.

Several trails start from the Nature Center, including one that takes you to the park's highest point, Mt. Tom.
