Nothing much is known about the lock-up at Sproughton which is situated in Lower Street. It probably dates to the late 18th or early 19th century. No listing has been found. It is brick built with sloping tiled roof and the single door has a grille.
It is said that the last incumbent escaped through the roof.
When it fell into disuse it was used to store roadman's tools.
