Elizabeth "Betty" Roller was born on 17 February 1907 in Wheaton, Missouri to Daniel Boone Roller and Nevada Jane Roller. In 1928 she married Elburn A. Smith D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathy) (1906-1998). They lived in various areas in Southwest Missouri and Northeast Oklahoma, even establishing a hospital in Wheaton, Missouri (now long gone). Along the way, Betty became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). They had two children.

Elburn passed away in 1998 when he was 91 years old and Betty was 90. Betty continued on almost 13 years until 15 December 2010, just a couple months short of 104 years old.
