This bench is one of two benches placed side by side along the Sundance Trail facing a stream of water near the Bow river. The 7.4 km round trip trail is located in the Cave and Basin National Historic Site, Canada's first National Park. The paved trail is open to walkers and bikers and a horseback trail is just besides it.

On the bench there is a plaque on which is written:
In Memory
of
