The Bricktown Tap House & Kitchen currently operates in two cities, El Paso and Wichita Falls, and they are spun off of the Bricktown Brewery based in Oklahoma City, which itself has spawned other Bricktown Brewery locations. Make no mistake, though, this is a taphouse, not a brewpub, as not only do they not serve any of the Bricktown beers here (thanks to Prohibition-era laws that are still on the books in Texas and Oklahoma), but they do not brew here, either.

With that said, this location prides itself on serving local beer, but that means Texas beers: Wichita Falls is in its infancy in this regard, and there's nothing truly local to be acquired ... yet. You've got your pick of between thirty and forty micros (with a few fizzy, yellow water choices), most of them on draft. They are regularly adding more options from Texas, occasionally bringing in a brewery representative to do a promotion, and they have regular rotators for some of those breweries. As of yet, there is no beer engine here, so you won't be getting anything hand-pumped from a cask. Beer menus are on the table, and you can simply ask your server for an updated copy of what's available.

Food is pub grub, nothing foo-foo, with burgers, sandwiches, salads, and pizza being the most popular items, but they've got appetizers and a few "regular" dinner options like meat loaf, chicken fried chicken/steak, fish and chips, and a turkey pot pie. The chicken and sweet potato waffles are an interesting option, and their sweet potato fries are a great side item. They also have a few dessert options, including warm chocolate chip cookies served with a glass of milk. For those who don't drink beer, they also offer soft drinks, and they have a fairly well-stocked bar.

This place has been very popular since opening in 2016, so there can be a wait during peak hours. There's no smoking, no pets, but they're kid friendly, and they offer free wi-fi if you need it.
