City View United Church began in the 19th century as City View Methodist Church. Construction was completed on a new church building in 1905 and was rebuilt in 1908 following a fire.
Following Unification in 1925, City View became a member of the United Church of Canada.
Ground-breaking for the present day site was in 1966.
The church is located in the City View neighbourhood of Ottawa. A full range of activities are conducted throughout the calendar year. Services are at 10:30 AM on Sunday.
In addition, the United Church Regional Centre is colocated.
