!Komplexní archeologický výzkum kapitulního kostela sv. Petra a Pavla provádí Archeologický ústav AV CR v Praze od roku 1966. V letech 1968 – 1991 se podarilo postupne odkrýt celý pudorys stavby, mezi roky 1981 – 1985 probehl výzkum interiéru dnešního kostela. Výzkum zachytil sedm stavebních etap, z nichž nejstarší - románská - je z doby založení kapituly a kapitulního kostela Vratislavem II. (1061 – 1092). O další prestavby se zasloužili Sobeslav I., Eliška Premyslovna a Karel IV., který vtiskl chrámu vrcholne gotický charakter pripomínající jihofrancouzské baziliky v Toulouse a Narbonne. Práce obsahuje krome zpracování komplexního archeologického pruzkumu také výsledky analýz z oboru antropologie (P. Stránská), archeozoologie (R. Kyselý), dendrochronologie (T. Kyncl), petrografie (J. Zavrel), nedestruktivních metod (L. Hrdlicka), dále analýzu kachlu (Z. Hazlbauer), stredovekého skla (D. Hejdová) aj."

A comprehensive archaeological survey of the Chapter church of Peter and Paul carried the Institute of Archaeology in Prague since 1966. In 1968 - 1991 it managed to reveal the entire plan of construction, between the years 1981-1985 was conducted into the interior of the present church. Research captured seven construction stages, the oldest of which - Romanesque - is the foundation of the chapter and the chapter of the church Vratislav II. (1061-1092). The other reconstruction deserved Sobeslav I, and Elizabeth of Bohemia Charles IV., Who impressed the temple high Gothic character reminiscent of southern France basilica in Toulouse and Narbonne. Work also contains results of analyzes in the fields of anthropology (P. Stranska) archaeozoology (R. Acid), dendrochronology (T. Kyncl), petrography (J. Zavrel), non-destructive methods (L. Hrdlicka), further analysis tiles (Z. Hazlbauer), medieval glass (D. Hejdová) and others.
