Signs for the cemetery are found on both directions of OK-28 pointing down what looks like a driveway. Well, it does serve as both a driveway and the lane to the cemetery. You have to open a gate at about
N36°511', W095°342'
to continue straight in toward the cemetery. However, fresh cow pies show you that this area is not closed off from the ranch's cattle. So close the gate as soon as you get through it, both entering and leaving. Continue on 1/4 mile from the gate to the cemetery.
There are many grave markers that are still in good condition here, but there are almost an equal number of them that are broken, and many of those are simply heaped up over to the side. Over 10% of the graves are missing dates, but the oldest recorded grave (in FindAGrave, link below) was from 1862 -- during the US Civil War. The FindAGrave contributors have only included graves up to 1966, but we found graves from 1976, 1977, and even 1981.
