This church, built between 1186 and 1240, was that of the canons of Saint-Victor.
At the beginning of the eleventh century, the counts of Eu founded a collegiate church. In 1119, it became an abbey. In 1181, St. Laurent O'Toole, Archbishop of Dublin, died there. The church, rebuilt in 1186, then takes its name. The various buildings of the abbey were completed in 1230. The church underwent the fires of 1426 and 1475 which touched the city of Eu. In the course of its history, it passed from the Congregation of Saint-Victor to Saint-Genevieve of Paris. At the French Revolution, the abbey was abolished. Its buildings are destroyed and only today remains its church. She welcomed the sepulcher of Saint-Laurent, then that of the counts of Eu, as well as illustrious persons.
