In the Harrietstown village of Saranac Lake, over the town hall, is a weathervane on the clock tower.
The town hall is located at the corner of Main Street and New York Route 86, at the southern end of the downtown section of the village.
The building is easy to spot. It is a two-story brick building with a tall clock tower rising up another two stories. Above the dome of the clock tower is a weathervane. The weathervane is brass in color. The bottom is a half arrow, with an evergreen tree in the center and two deer - a buck and a doe - on either side. It's fitting since Saranac Lake is a central point for tourism and recreation in the Adirondack Mountains.
