The gym equipment was installed by the Great Outdoor Gym Company that works in partnership with the Department of Health.
As well as instructions on how to use each piece of the equipment an information board near to the equipment has information about general health advice for people of all ages.
The equipment is not numbered but is arranged into three zones depending on the specific type of exercise to be performed.
The course is on the edge of the park next to the Rochdale Canal.
