Criminal. The wife of Marvin “Buck” Barrow, outlaw and member of the Barrow Gang, she met Buck in Dallas and married him in Oklahoma on July 2, 1931. When she discovered that Buck was a wanted fugitive from Justice, she talked him into turning himself in. The then governor of Texas, “Ma” Ferguson had Buck paroled, but not long afterwards, Buck and Blanche were paid a visit by Buck’s brother Clyde and his girlfriend Bonnie Parker. The four of them went to Joplin, Missouri where Buck and Clyde shot and killed two Police officers. While fleeing Police not far from Dexter, Iowa, the Barrow Gang was caught in an ambush in August of 1933. Although Bonnie and Clyde once again slipped from their grasp, Buck Barrow was mortally wounded and Blanche was shot in the face which blinded her in her left eye. She was taken into custody and was extradited to Missouri where she was charged with “Assault With Intent To Kill”. She was sentenced to ten years but was paroled in 1939 for good behavior. She moved back to Dallas but left her life of crime behind her. She met and married Eddie Frasure in 1940 and completed the terms of her parole one year later. She lived in peace with her husband until the time of her death in 1988 at the age of 77.
