"Corbett Avenue Community Garden is one of several VINES gardens established throughout Binghamton. Land for this site is a gift of Binghamton University professor Dick Andrus who recruited groups of students from Binghamton University to help with construction of the raised beds and deer fence. There are nine plots, 20’ x 8’ and a planting of peach and dwarf pear trees as well as raspberry bushes, rhubarb, catnip and asparagus. The perimeter of the garden is partially landscaped with additional landscaping in progress. The perimeter landscaping includes ornamental plantings, herbs, and areas for growing deer resistant crops such as garlic and rhubarb."
