In Wilmington center is the Wilmington Heritage Park, which includes a building that has tourist information.
The center is along New York Route 86, on the north side of the road. The center is a modest structure with an attendant and racks of brochures.
The tourist bureau serves the Adirondack Mountain region, with a focus on the Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid/Saranac Lake region. Lake Placid is where two Winter Olympic Games were hosted, so there are several sites that are related to those events. Whiteface Mountain, also related to the Olympics, also has an autoroad almost to the top. But, perhaps the most surprising thing is that this location is just a few miles from North Pole!
