This totem pole / housepost is a gift from the oldest of a canadian indian tribe to the citizens of Hamburg. It was created by the Canadian Indian sculptor David Seven Deers from 1994 to 1997.

Dieser Hauspfosten ist ein Geschenk der Skwahla Sto:lo Halkomelem Indianer in British Columbia Kanada an alle Menschen in Hamburg.
Geschnitzt wurde der Pfosten von David Seven Deers, Künstler vom Volk der Skwahla, 1994 - 1997 im Innenhof des Museum für Volkerkunde. Er ist ein Zeichen des Friedens, der Toleranz und des gegenseitigen Respekts.
