EN: The Gymnasium Leonhard is a grammar school located at the Kohlenberg in the center of Basel.

The Gymnasium originated from a girls' secondary school, which was founded in 1813. In 1884, the school moved to the newly built schoolhouse on the Kohlenberg. This neoclassical wing was expanded in 1906 by an Art Nouveau annex by Theodor Hühnerwadel, which today forms the main building of the school.

The building is still home to a grammar school. After several school reforms, separations and mergers, it has been called "Gymnasium Leonhard" since 1997.

Das Gymnasium entstand aus einer Töchterschule, die 1813 gegründet wurde. 1884 zog die Schule in das neu erbaute Schulhaus auf dem Kohlenberg. Dieser klassizistische Trakt wurde 1906 um einen Jugendstil-Anbau von Theodor Hühnerwadel erweitert, der heute das Hauptgebäude des Gymnasiums bildet.
