[DE] Der Bahnhof in Weißenthurm gehört zu den Haltestellen der linken Rheinstrecke am Mittelrhein.
"Die linke Rheinstrecke ist eine Eisenbahnhauptstrecke, die am Mittelrhein entlang von Köln über Bonn, Koblenz und Bingen nach Mainz verläuft.
Bis zum Bau der Schnellfahrstrecke Köln–Rhein/Main war sie eine der wichtigsten Strecken im Schienenpersonenfernverkehr Westdeutschlands. Aufgrund ihres Verlaufs durch das obere Mittelrheintal (Welterbe Kulturlandschaft) gilt sie wie die parallel verlaufende rechte Rheinstrecke bis heute als eine der romantischsten Eisenbahnstrecken in Deutschland.
Die linke Rheinstrecke ist auf ihrer gesamten Länge von 185 Kilometern zweigleisig ausgebaut und seit 1959 mit Oberleitung versehen."
