This particular bridge is one of three bridges on the former "Cullen Gardens and Miniature Village" grounds on Taunton Road in Whitby.

This pedestrian bridge spans a small river and serves as a dam support and viewing platform for migrating fish in the spring.
The Town of Whitby is now the owner of this property, purchased in the winter of 2006 from the founder of the "Gardens" Len Cullen. It is now used by the public for their enjoyment.
