The Bluefield, Virginia Veterans Memorial stands at the intersection of Virginia Avenue and Walnut Street. The Memorial was constructed into a hillside with the seals of all branch of the military located at the bottom of the memorial. Steps rise to the upper level of the memorial where brick pavers inscribed with the names of donors are installed in front of the inscription "VETERAN'S MEMORIAL - BLUEFIELD, VIRGINIA.

TO AREA VETERANS AND CITIZENS Veterans Memorial Committee Members Kenny Thompson, Arnold E. Yost, David Leedy, Jr., Juanita Sheppard, Lynn Barnett and Roger Buchanan along with VFW Post 9696 and American Legion Post 122 of Bluefield, Virginia, would like to express their sincere appreciation to the following groups and individuals who have contributed time, money and/or labor for the restoration and additions to the Bluefield, Virginia Veterans Memorial. This memorial benefits all the veterans and their families of Tazewell, Mercer, Bland, Buchanan, McDowell and Russell Counties. All veterans of these counties deeply appreciate the grant from the Shott foundation along with all the civic clubs and individuals who have contributed to this great cause. The committee would also like to thank Bluefield, Virginia Mayor Don Harris, Town Manager Mike Watson, Town Council Members, and all the town employees for their efforts and support. We look forward to continuing out partnership with the town, the Shott Foundation, citizens and Veterans of the VFW and American Legion in making this project a great success and a beautiful tribute to our Veterans and the Town of Bluefield, Virginia.

Description of Memorial:
The Memorial consists of seals from all branches of the military, steps rising to an upper level where brick pavers inscribed with the names of donors have been installed. One either side of the monument are the battlefield cross donated by James "Butch" Phillips and Charles E. Pruett.
