"Bank of Dutzow in Dutzow MO has been re purposed several times. In 1962 the Amateur Radio Club ZBARC used it as a club house. Currently it is used as a residence. Around 54 years ago they painted the club call sign on the former bank building turned club house. The club has since moved to another location." ~ kjfishman
"The ZeroBeaters Amateur Radio Club (ZBARC) was formed in the early 1960s. At first, meetings were held in member's homes. Sometime around 1962, ZBARC was given the use of the Old Bank Building in Dutzow, MO. Dutzow is located in Warren County on Highway 94 just east of Highway 47 and is only about 5 miles north of Washington MO. The building has been sold.
"Mr. Walter Voelkerding, President of the Bank of Dutzow at that time, made a generous donation to the club. In addition to providing us with the meeting location, he contributed funds for the purchase of equipment for a club station there. The club applied for a club station license and was assigned the callsign WAØFYA.
