As the plaque reads:
McLoed Regional Park
This park in named in honour of Bernard McLeod, whose activities in community sports prior to his untimely death inspired the work that made this park and swimming pool possible. It stands as a symbol of a community's potential and what its citizens can accomplish if they will unite and bend to a common purpose. Bernard (Moe) Mcleod was born in Melville in 1922. He received his education here and at the University of Saskatchewan. His untimely death came in 1952. He was a leading sports figure in Melville, participating in all the sports, as well as coaching and managing the sporting fraternity. It is a fitting tribute that this park is named after 'Moe' Mcleod.
