Finally in 2005, the Dollberg became the Highest Point in Saarland with elevation of 695.4m.
Over decades, there was a standoff between Dollberg and Schimmelkopf, both measured at 695m.
After an more precise survey by the government in 2005, official elevation of Dollberg 695.4m vs. Schimmelkopf 694.8m.
Highest point of the Dollberg is in the midde of a forest without a scenic view, just an plate is existing.
