In Bicentennial Plaza are a statue of Captain John Mullan, one of the original series of Captain Mullan monuments, of which thirteen were made and placed along the Mullan Road, a pair of stone benches and a cast iron fountain. The Captain Mullan statue was relocated to the plaza, probably in 1976 in conjunction with the construction of the plaza. Dedicated to Edward Stumvoll, the cast iron fountain was originally a drinking fountain located on Main Street and was also moved to the plaza, likely in 1976.
The plaza is a small square of approximately 200 square feet, paved with red bricks. It is bordered on two sides by sidewalk and the other two sides by grass on the courthouse grounds. To the base of the Captain Mullan statue is affixed the bronze plaque pictured here.
