The Gendarme and the Extra-Terrestrials (Le Gendarme et Les Extra-Terrestres) is a continuation of the Gendarme series starring Louis de Funès. It is also known as The Gendarme and the Creatures from Outer Space and is followed by one more instalment: Le gendarme et les gendarmettes. The bungling inspector Cruchot (Louis de Funès) finds himself trying to save the residents of St. Tropez from some oil-drinking humanoid aliens. The only way to tell the aliens from the real people, besides their constant thirst for oil-products, is that they sound like empty garbage cans when you touch them.
With one of the most photographed facades in Saint-Tropez, and made famous by the highly popular French comedy “Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez” (The Troops of Saint-Tropez), the old Gendarmerie Nationale has been given a new lease on life, on June 25 2016, as a museum.
Our first picture shows Louis de Funès in front of the gendarmerie and the second picture shows Louis de Funès, Michel Galabru and Jean Pierre Rambal looking out of the window of the gendarmerie in "The Troops & the Aliens".
