The tree-trunk style WoW tombstone for John Bruno has fallen off its base, but is inscription-side up, at Carl Cemetery in Creedmore TX.

It's clear that this tombstone was knocked over by a Black Walnut trash tree that has grown up next to the base, tilting the base and causing the monument to fall. It either had a lucky landing withe the inscription up, or a human caretaker has rolled it.

The tombstone reads as follows:

"[WoW medallion]

JOHN BORING
Son of J. C. and M. F. Boring

Born
Jan. 18, 1894
Died
Dec. 15, 1912

[epitaph is illegible]"
Was the inscription legible?: Yes
