There aren't too many beaches on the East Coast of Australia where stunning sunset photos can be taken. And the beach within Salamander Bay, next to the Marina is well known for the regular sunset photo opportunities available.
The true 'Seashore' is a 'dozen miles' away, but this is directly onto the Nelson Bay, off of Tasman Sea/Pacific Ocean. Only storm surge waves are an issue on Sunset Beach.
