In Plattsburgh, in Champlain Park, is an installation of engraved bricks by the monument to the explorer, Samuel de Champlain.
The park is located off Cumberland Ave, about a quarter mile east of Plattsburgh City Hall.
The bricks are on the south side of the Champlain Monument, and are present on several levels of the plaza. I estimate that at least 200 engraved bricks are there. The web site indicates that bricks may be placed between this monument and the obelisk monument honoring MacDonough who won the Battle of Plattsburgh during the War of 1812.
The city has a web site for the bricks. "Donations" range from $45 for a 4"x8" brick to $550 for a 16"x16" slab.
