Local artist John Simpson painted number of celebrities on wood panels of the One Court Square Building. This niche contains a 10' by 5' mural of one of the most famous images of John Lennon which was created by Andy Warhol and used on the albums Menlove Ave and Working Class Hero.

A black and white portrait depicts John Lennon from the neck up. Lennon facing forward and wearing round wire rimmed eyeglasses. The mural was created over several days in October 2014.

John Winston Lennon was born on October 9, 1940 in Liverpool, England, UK. He formed the group the Quarrymen in 1957 which in 1960 evolved into the Silver Beetles, the Silver Beatles and by August to the Beatles. The name is a tribute to Buddy Holly and his group the Crickets.
