Per the La Crosse Public Library, this plot was deeded in 1860 to the Second Calvinistic Methodist Society for the purpose of building a church and maintaining a burying ground. Not much of the history of this church or cemetery exist to this day. Only 9 headstones remain between 2 to 3 families. Last names of Evans and Jenkins are prominent with one headstone displaying Williams. An obituary from 1908 shows that one, Mrs. Margaret Jones was a faithful member of the church until it disbanded a few years before. This burial plot is all that remains.
Find a Grave correctly mapped the location of this church but in error they pictured and listed all interments of a cemetery about 300 meters North of this location. That cemetery was used for another nearby church.
