The monument was dedicated during 1920ies by citizens of village Chráštany located a few kilometers eastwardly from Ceský Brod in Central Bohemia region. 7 names of their killed fellow-citizens is engraved on marble plaque embedded is a sandstone block. In front of the monument there is a sandstone statue of a lion, the Czech heraldic animal. The following names of killed men from the village with their years are given on the plaque:
