School #20 in the Town of Colonie dates back to 1926. This location on the Albany-Schenectady Road (now known as Central Avenue) was next to the Colonie Fire Department fire hall. Extensions were added on the south side of the school in 1951.

By 2016, the Town of Colonie was using this building as a community center, home to the Colonie Youth Center, Head Start, a South Colonie school district after-school program and the Lisha Kill Senior Citizens Club.
