From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NW on US20 for 9.5 miles. Turn left onto George McAllister Road, FR2060. Continue about 4.1 miles to the intersection with FR1014 at Fivemile Butte. Continue generally S on FR1014 for about 500' to the corner on the right.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" brass cap on iron pipe in a mound of stones; flush with ground

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is W, about 530' from the centerline of FR1014. Found a fir and two pondersosa pines each with a yellow BEARING TREE tag, an old-style BEARING TREE shield and a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign on the backside. Set out at cardinal directions, there are three Carsonite witness posts and an aluminum U-post with the usual array of decals and metal signs. In addition there are two wood lath stakes by the corner.


What property is this mark defining?:
private property NE and SW of the corner, else Deschutes National Forest; see also Survey CS#00030 filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors Office and USDI-Bureau of Land Management, Field Notes of the Remonumentation of Certain Original Corner Points, Township 14 South, Range 9 East of the Willamette Meridian in the State of Oregon; Survey Completed August 12, 1966
