From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NW on US20 for 9.5 miles. Turn left onto George McAllister Road, FR2060. Continue about 4.1 miles to the intersection with FR1014 at Fivemile Butte. Continue generally SSW on FR1014 for about 0.6 miles to the corner on the left.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on galvanized iron pipe; rising 6"
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is E, about 280' from the centerline of FR1014. Found a fir and a ponderosa pine each with a healed blaze, a yellow BEARING TREE tag and a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign on the backside. There are PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MARKER decals on a Carsonite post which bears S, 24" distant. In addition there is a wood lath stake by the corner.
What property is this mark defining?:
Firs Holdings LLC property W of the corner, else Deschutes National Forest;
